Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi emphasized the importance of collaboration in improving the logistics sector in Indonesia.

 

"The essence must be collaboration and collaboration," said the Minister of Transportation when giving a keynote speech at the opening of the 7th National Conference of the Indonesian Logistics and Forwaders Association (ALFI/ILFA) 2023 DPP in Jakarta, Monday.

 

According to him, with the downstream program launched by the government, the logistics sector must also be strengthened. This is done to equalize investment throughout Indonesia.

 

"We have to create a certain method that we have to increase competitiveness in a certain way. Methods such as downstreaming are a must," said the Minister of Transportation.

 

Meanwhile, in his speech, General Chair of the ALFA/ILFA Central Management Board (DPP), Yukki Nugrahawan Hanafi, said that the demographic bonus was both an opportunity and a challenge to achieve a Golden Indonesia 2045.

 

He emphasized that to achieve Golden Indonesia 2045, one of the keys is through downstreaming.

 

"So, what we have to provide is added value to the future of logistics and supply chains in the country, including human welfare. If humans are not prosperous, we will also have problems with demographic bonuses, sustainability systems, health food security patterns, and readiness for the digitalization era. 5.0," said Yukki.

 

In line with the Minister of Transportation, he said that to improve the logistics system and supply chain, collaboration between the government, BUMN and the private sector is needed.
